Be Her Guide

I wrote Be Her Guide for a new friend that I had recently met at school. I had a couple opportunities to discuss Christianity with her, and every time we talked, she had some kind of comment to justify her lifestyle. There were a number of times that she repeated, “I sin too much for God…” and I couldn’t help but cringe. She had no idea the love that Christ has for her no matter what she has done. I wanted so badly for her to understand!! I wanted to tell God (I think I did…) to shake her up! I knew, however, that God wanted her to come to Him. She was seeking approval of her choices, but wasn’t finding it. Because I knew I couldn’t do anything in my power to change her heart, I wrote this song.
