Embraced

Embraced was written solely for worship. A very close friend of mine was experiencing the pain of his family splitting apart, and I, being the empathetic person I am, was affected by his situation. I wrote this song through his eyes, but found it very easy to relate to things in my life as well. It is simply begging and pleading for that security in the welcoming arms of a true Father when life around you seems to be shattering. Loving to be embraced in Christ’s eternal, unconditional love, and knowing that it is always there, is one of the greatest gifts we have.
